FROM BEING A NON

MUSICIAN OR TONE DEAF TO BE GIGGING IN A BAND IN JUST SIX MONTHS

Have you ever had your first music lesson and come away more confused than you did before you went in? Six out of ten learner musicians give up playing because they get disheartened because they are not getting quick results and they mistakenly believe that to play an instrument properly they have to read music. They get frustrated with learning boring scales, loads of theory when all they want to do is play.

I first started reading music at an early age and was taught by a classical teacher called Mrs Hutchinson she was in her early sixties and was very strict. At each lesson I was taught how to hold a bow and how to read and play classical music. At that age I had never heard of this style of music and was extremely bored with it all. She was telling me what I should and should not be learning when all I wanted to do was play rock songs.
Mrs Hutchinson did teach some good practising skills which I still teach today. From the age of seventeen I spent eleven years on cruise liners, and I went from playing all over the world to playing in a West End musical. I have plenty of experience not only teaching but putting students on the right track to becoming a session musician. I have taught many students who have started tone deaf but have become great musicians. Anyone can learn - it doesn't matter how old you are - I have taught students from twelve years right through to well in to middle age. Everyone learns at a different pace and I have not failed yet in teaching someone who is a non beginner to reaching a band standard in six months. Come on why don't you challenge me on the T.P.P. METHOD.
